A: speedycamel.co.uk the world's first interactive online bazaar is both ethical & economical. Products are sold which support 'Humanitarian Projects' from manufacturing to tree planting, with ecoplanting.co.uk. Barter with Ali for great prices on selected items the site also contains. 
 
Q: Who is Ali Barter?
A: Ali Barter is a bazaar trader who has been selling top quality merchandise from within many bazaars in far off lands. He now comes to the UK and to the internet with his own online bazaar, speedycamel.co.uk. Always keen to give you, the customer, the best deal he can at the time of your visit to his bazaar.
 
Q: Are you cheaper to buy from than the high street?
A: This is not the primary aim of the site, which is one to balance the ethical and economical. Sometimes, you may not be able to find the products on speedycamel.co.uk in high street stores. Anyhow, this would involve getting up off your comfy seat and having the hassle of 'going shopping'. Better to barter for it right here!
 
Q: Where does Ali get his products from?
A: Ali's products originate from all over the world, but he sources them areas where people benefit fromthe transaction. Ali and his dedicated team are based in the UK.
 
Q: Do the products come with full UK warranties/guarantees?
A: Absolutely. The manufacturer guarantees and warranties are exactly the same is if you purchased the items on the high street (if you can find them there, that is).
 
Q: Why is Ali Barter not animated on my computer?
A: Ali Barter is powered by Flash (and a little sweet tea).
Your computer requires the latest version of Flash Player to be installed.

Q: Can I still use speedycamel.co.uk if I cannot get Flash on my computer?
A: Yes, although the fun of bartering with Ali will not be the same entertaining experience as when you have Flash installed. It's only then that Ali really comes alive!
 
Q: What's the difference between 'Add to Shopping Basket' and 'Barter'?
A: Once you have selected your item(s), you have the option to 'Add to Shopping Basket', which adds the item to your basket or cart. Or, you can pit your wits against Ali and 'Barter' with him for a better price!
 
Q: How many barters do I get on an item?
A: Ali gives you 7 chances to barter the price down on your selected item. After that he gets bored and gives some attention to other buying customers.
 
Q: Do I barter in whole pounds, or pounds and pence?
A: Ali is very busy and likes to keep things simple, so only barters in whole pounds.
Prices include UK VAT at current rates.
 
Q: If I barter with Ali, will my best price always be the same?
A: No. Much like in a real life bazaar, Ali will give you the best deal he can at the time of your visit. The more generous you are to Ali in your offers, the more generous he will be with his discounts.
 
Q: What if Ali and I don't agree a price?
A: Ali will make you a final offer, which you can either accept (by clicking the 'Accept' button) or decline. Ali will always offer you the best deal he can at the time of your visit to speedycamel.co.uk.
 
Q: Can I barter again if I don't want to accept Ali's final offer?
A: Only if you close down your browser and revisit speedycamel.co.uk. Otherwise, Ali will remember he has made you an offer already.
 
Q: Can I barter on more than one product?
A: Of course, although you can only barter on one product at a time.


Q: Can I add a product to 'shopping basket', then decide to barter for it?
A: Yes you can, although bartering will again add the same item to the Shopping Basket (or Magic Carpet as Ali likes to call it). However, one of these items can always be removed when you proceed to the 'Shopping Basket' page.


Q: What is the Magic Carpet?
A: This is Ali's version of your shopping cart or basket and works in exactly the same way as many other web sites. Ali just thought it would be fun to call it something different!
 
Q: Is speedycamel.co.uk secure for online payments?
A: Yes, absolutely. We use WorldPay, part of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group, for our secure online payment system. Ali holds no financial information on his customers, so your personal details are completely confidential. speedycamel.co.uk also holds a SSL certificate from Verisign confirming use of data encryption to keep your transactions secure.
 
Q: What payment options do I have on speedycamel.co.uk?
A: You can pay for your order with Visa, Visa Electron, Delta, Mastercard and Switch credit or debit cards. speedycamel.co.uk does not currently take American Express credit cards, cheques or currency of any kind for payments.
 
Q: How soon can I expect delivery of my item(s)?
A: Once we have processed your payment and confirmed our stock, your order will be dispatched within 2 to 3 working days, depending upon the nature of your item(s).
Ali will dispatch your item(s) as soon as he can get them strapped to the nearest high-speed camel (or more usually, a professional courier).
 
Q: Do you part-ship orders if one of my items is out of stock?
A: Sometimes, particularly as your order may consist of items from different suppliers.
 
Q: Do you have any restrictions on delivery?
A: Currently, speedycamel.co.uk is only able to deliver to mainland UK addresses. We are planning to expand delivery to non-mainland UK addresses and overseas in the near future.
 
Q: How do I know my order has been received successfully?
A: Both speedycamel.co.uk and the payment processor will send you confirmation emails. These emails will tell you your order has been received and your monies have been authorised against your credit/debit card.
 
Q: Do I have to register to use speedycamel.co.uk?
A: : No, you are free to browse the products on the site without registering.
However, Ali asks you to register when you buy, so he knows who his customers are, and he can let you know of any special offers on speedycamel.co.uk, should you wish him to. Ali promises not to pester you with unwanted email.
 
Q: What if I have problems with delivery?
A: Problems with delivery are rare. However, if you do experience problems, please contact Ali or a member of his team as soon as possible to resolve any problems quickly.
