Used for generations in the manufacture of furniture, the Mango Fruitwood used in the creation of our furniture collection is fast free growing and indigenous to Java, Indonesia. It is always from non-endangered sources, not subject to certification and never taken from the endangered rain forest. When a tree has come to the end of its productive fruiting life it is felled and a sapling is immediately replanted in its place. All our furniture is entirely hand-made using traditional tools and methods, as such very little fossil-fuel energy is used in its manufacture and as the wood is kiln-dried using only off-cuts, no part of the tree is ever wasted.
